THE TOTALITY OF FOLLOWING THE KING

Picture a recruit who signs up for military service merely because he is drawn to the impressive uniform, yet immediately retreats the moment he realizes the duty demands sacrifice and a readiness to risk his life on the battlefield. Along the journey of faith, a similar tendency frequently occurs where many people enthusiastically crave the blessings, protection, and comfort of Christ, yet remain unwilling to carry a cross and deny themselves. Following the King is not about seeking emotional gratification or simply performing social routine obligations. This calling demands the highest priority in which all personal desires, plans, and ambitions are willingly placed beneath His authority.

The standard of Christ's calling often startles because He demands a commitment that transcends the boundaries of worldly comfort and human traditions. When you decide to follow Him, there must be no excuse or condition that acts as a barrier to delay obedience. Acknowledging Christ as Lord means surrendering absolute leadership over every area of your life, without leaving room for compromise. This calling invites you to courageously release the false sense of security offered by material possessions, status, or the approval of others, and instead lean fully upon the provision and guidance of the King.

Try to examine the depths of your heart today: whether Christ truly holds the primary control or is merely a guest invited in only when you need assistance. Do not let the word 'but' follow your promise to follow the Lord, as though your career, hobbies, or family approval were more important than His Kingdom agenda. Begin today by surrendering all rights to the control of your life entirely to Him. When you dare to make Christ your priority above everything else, you will discover true peace and a purpose in life far more noble than anything the world has to offer.

Let us walk through today with a steadfast heart to follow Christ unconditionally and without delay. Release every doubt and objection that hinders our steps in serving the One who is supreme. Remain faithful in making Christ the center of all our decisions and actions. Happy walking in the totality of His love!
