NEW MERCIES FOR NEW YEAR

The calendar digits change, but monthly bills, physical exhaustion, and heavy workloads remain exactly the same this January 1st. Entering a new year does not automatically grant us instant excitement; instead, many face it with quiet anxiety about future uncertainties.

Jeremiah wrote the Book of Lamentations not from a stage of success, but amidst the smoldering ruins of Jerusalem. In total devastation, the prophet anchored his soul upon a vital reality: we are not consumed simply because God's covenant love holds back destruction. God's mercies do not spoil. His goodness from last year served its purpose, and for this new year, He guarantees a fresh daily portion of compassion.

Do not navigate this upcoming year relying solely on your savings or intellect. When financial worries and daily burdens loom, remember that God does not ask you to solve all 365 days today. He gives grace sufficient for one day at a time.

Today's Reflection Points:
- Surrender Future Anxiety: Trust that God has already prepared His specific faithfulness for every morning ahead.
- Give Thanks for Today's Breath: Begin January 1st not with crushing resolutions, but with gratitude for His gift of life.

A new year does not promise a trouble-free path, but it guarantees fresh mercies from God every single day. Keep walking forward with Christ, for the hand holding you will never loosen its grip. Our hope remains secure in His unshakeable faithfulness.

God bless you!
