GOD'S TIMING IS NOT OUR TIMING
In our human impatience, we often act as if we are holding a stopwatch to dictate God's schedule. We pray while handing Him a deadline: 'Lord, please drop this miracle before the end of the month,' or 'Lord, I need this job tomorrow, please act now.' When that self-imposed deadline passes without any sign of an answer, we begin to harbor disappointment and accuse God of no longer caring about our fate.
Let us draw enlightenment from the event of Lazarus's death. When Jesus received word that His deeply loved friend was critically ill, He did not rush off. Instead, He deliberately delayed His arrival by two days. Surely Mary and Martha's logic screamed hysterically, 'Lord, You are late! He is already dead and decomposing!' Yet, behind that delay lay a far grander design. Jesus did not merely want to heal a sick man; He wanted to demonstrate resurrection from death so that the Father's glory would be manifested absolutely.
Today's Reflection Points:
- Delay Is Not Denial: When your prayers seem ignored, God is actually preparing the stage for a miracle of a much larger scale than your expectations.
- Trusting His Perfect Timing: God's way of working often seems confusing and illogical at first, but His storyline will always lead to an undeniable goodness at the end of the chapter.
If today you feel God is moving too slowly in helping you, remain calm. Do not let the poison of impatience eat away at the foundation of your faith. God's timing is never early, and never late; He always arrives at the exact right second.
