FORTIFYING THE HOME AGAINST THE STORMS OF THE AGE
The home is meant to be the safest, most comforting, and peace-filled sanctuary for every family member. Yet, the reality is that many households today feel cold, barren, and tense even though everyone lives under the same roof. People are consumed by their own separate worlds; parents chase after financial wealth through grueling work, while children remain glued to their screens, causing spiritual communication within the home to completely wither away. We frequently forget that without a sturdy, shared spiritual foundation, our households become fragile and easily shattered when battered by conflict, financial distress, or the toxic influences of the outside world.
The sole method to guard and fortify our families from destruction in this volatile era is to reignite the family altar inside our homes. A family altar is not a rigid and boring religious ritual, but rather a sacred window of time where husband, wife, and children consistently gather to praise God, read His word, and pray for one another. When a father embraces his responsibility as a priest to lead prayer at home, and a mother supports this calling with her warmth and love, the very presence of God descends to enshroud that dwelling. Within the atmosphere of corporate prayer, every inner wound is healed, selfish egos are subdued, and mutual affection among family members is restored by God.
Today, let us make a fresh commitment to rebuild the prayer altar in our respective households. Do not wait until a catastrophic storm strikes before you frantically cry out to God; fortify your home starting today from your knees alongside your beloved family. For a house that establishes Christ as its primary foundation will never be shaken by any storm whatsoever.
