"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
LOYAL AND COURAGEOUS WITH GOD
Replacing a great leader like Moses was not an easy task for Joshua. He was faced with the great responsibility of leading the Israelites into the Promised Land, a region filled with powerful enemies and fortresses that seemed impossible to overthrow. Doubt, fear, and feelings of inadequacy can paralyze his heart if he only relies on his own strength and human wisdom.
However, the secret of Joshua's victory did not lie in his military strategy, but in the roots of his fellowship and obedience to God. In Joshua 1:9, God not only gives the command to be strong and of good courage, but also gives the guarantee of His absolute inclusion. Joshua's courage was a direct result of his habit of meditating on and practicing the Law day and night without deviating to the right or left.
In our current journey in life, we are often faced with an uncertain future, frightening new responsibilities, or life challenges that feel pressing. Learning from Joshua, we are invited to shift our gaze from the enormity of the problem to the enormity of God's inclusion. True courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the decision to continue to walk obediently with God in the midst of that fear.
Today's Reflection Points:
- Binding the Heart to the Word: Making the Bible the main standard and guide for life in every decision we make.
- Stepping Courage: Defeating fear by holding the promise that God always walks with our steps of faith.
Do not let fear hinder your steps of faith today. Every challenge you face is an opportunity to witness the power and faithfulness of God at work in a tangible way. When you choose to obey, God Himself will smooth the path and grant you victory. Remain steadfast and faithful, for the One who calls you is the God who never forsakes you. Your courage today will serve as a beautiful testimony to the greatness of God.
May the Lord Jesus bless you!
