PROMOTION FROM GOD'S HAND

Passage: 'And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is?' – Genesis 41:38

A damp, dark prison cell abruptly gives way to the blinding opulence of the Egyptian court. In a matter of hours, the iron fetters chafing Joseph's ankles are replaced by a chain of pure gold, and the ragged garments of a convict are exchanged for robes of fine linen. This sudden shift of fortunes feels astonishingly dramatic, yet behind the scenes of history, God had been orchestrating it through thirteen years of silence, slander, and unseen faithfulness.

Pharaoh and his officials perceived something entirely foreign yet deeply compelling in this young Hebrew slave. They were not merely impressed by Joseph's administrative brilliance or his dream interpretation, but by the tangible presence of the Spirit of God ('ruach Elohim') shining through his wisdom and serene demeanor. Historically, ancient Egypt was a highly stratified, ethnocentric superpower that disdained nomadic Hebrews.
