WISDOM IN SHARING TRUTH

Passage: 'Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.' โ€“ Matthew 7:6
WISDOM IN SHARING TRUTH

Good intentions are not always received with understanding by everyone around us. We often feel eager to share deeply meaningful truths, only to end up feeling hurt when others mock our intentions. A passionate desire to help can sometimes blind us to the fact that not every moment is suitable for spiritual conversation. Wisdom requires us to discern when to speak boldly and when to hold our tongue to protect the sacredness of the truth. When divine values are treated like garbage, the issue is not their worth, but the receiver's inability to appreciate them. Here, Jesus points us to the crucial need for holy spiritual discretion in our everyday encounters.

In the Sermon on the Mount, right after commanding us not to judge hypocritically, Jesus provides a sharp balance. The truth of the Gospel and the treasures of the Kingdom of God are precious 'pearls' that must never be treated carelessly. Why? Because forcing holy truth upon those who openly despise and mock God only provokes scoffing, malice, and unnecessary conflict. This is not about arrogant exclusion, but about exercising spiritual discernment so we do not waste energy on senseless debates that dishonor the Lord.

In our workplaces or daily social interactions, we often get dragged into theological arguments with people who only want to destroy. We push to defend our faith in front of hardened, mockingly cynical minds. As a result, the Gospel is dragged through the dirt and our own hearts are needlessly bruised. God calls us to be wise as serpents and harmless as dovesโ€”knowing when to witness with clear words and when to let our quiet, holy conduct do the talking.

Today's Reflection Points:
- Recognizing Truth's Worth: Cherish the Gospel as the ultimate treasure rather than reducing it to cheap arguments on social media or heated debates.
- Discernment in Witnessing: Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom to know when to speak openly about Christ and when to stay quiet while praying for hardened hearts.

Guarding what is sacred in your life is not a sign of coldness, but a mark of spiritual wisdom. Do not let zeal for truth override your holy common sense. Keep walking with quiet confidence, sharing Christ's love without stepping into destructive strife. Christ will strengthen every step you take in divine wisdom today.

God bless you!
