SURRENDER IS NOT DEFEAT
In the eyes of the world, the word 'surrender' is often misconstrued as a form of weakness, despair, or an admission of defeat. Raising one's hands is typically identified with the attitude of a loser who can no longer fight. However, within the principles of the Kingdom of God, lifting our hands to surrender to the Lord is precisely the starting point of true victory.
Imagine a small child struggling hard to move an extremely heavy object. The child tries with all their might until exhaustion sets in and tears fall, yet the load refuses to budge. When the father approaches, the child releases the burden and reaches out their hands to ask for the father's help. That action is not a defeat, but an expression of trust. Similarly, God sometimes allows us to reach a dead end so that we realize how limited our human strength truly is.
Today, if you feel exhausted by an unending struggle, pause for a moment. If you have been busy searching for a way out, begin instead to seek the face of God. The moment your hands lift to surrender to Him, that is where the hands of God step in to work mightily. -TPC
