GROWING UP IN CHRIST
Physical growth and the passing of years do not automatically produce maturity. It is common to encounter individuals of advanced age who still operate with childish mindsets, just as we occasionally find young people possessing remarkable maturity in their judgment and choices. The spiritual life functions by the exact same principle. Maturity in the faith is never an automatic byproduct of spending decades occupying a church pew.
Walking out true maturity in Christ demands a deliberate, ongoing process of transformation. Much like a newborn infant who depends entirely on pure milk for survival, believers must cultivate an active, relentless hunger and thirst for the truth of God's Word. Spiritual maturity requires us to discard shallow, worldly ways of thinking so that our character may be reshaped to reflect the standard of Christ in every dimension of daily life.
Do not allow the surrounding culture to press you into its mold of superficial thinking. Yield instead to the renewing work of the Holy Spirit so that your inner life advances toward genuine maturity. Through this growth, you will not only stand resilient when trials strike, but you will also become equipped to guide others along the path of faith. Jesus Christ is ready to work this deep transformation in you.
