STOP BEING A 'SUNDAY ONLY' CHRISTIAN
Have you ever attended or seen a masquerade ball? In such an event, everyone has the freedom to hide their true identity and become whoever they wish to be. However, true reality only becomes visible when the party is over and every mask must be removed.
It is deeply unfortunate that many Christians treat their faith like a 'party outfit' worn exclusively on Sundays. Inside church walls, they appear as deeply spiritual individuals; singing at the top of their lungs, praying with the most eloquent words, and speaking with incredible sweetness. Yet, when Monday through Saturday arrive, that spiritual mask is discarded. At the office or at home, they revert to being harsh, manipulative, prone to explosive anger, and living lives entirely indistinguishable from the secular world.
God has never looked for 'actors' or spiritual pretenders. He searches for genuine disciples. Christianity is not a ceremonial religion practiced only for two hours a week; it is a twenty-four-hour-a-day lifestyle. Our Sunday worship remains empty and vain if the faith we learn in church fails to transform our broken character in daily life.
Let us learn to be whole and integrated followers of Christ. Let the love, honesty, and joy you experience at church accompany you back into your home and workplace. Be an 'open Bible' for those around you who do not yet know God.
