GOD AS OUR HELPER IN TIMES OF DISTRESS
As long as we walk this earth, trials and obstacles remain an inevitable part of human existence. Distress usually surfaces right at the threshold where our human intellect, physical strength, and financial reserves can no longer carry the weight of our problems.
However, as redeemed children of God, distress is never meant to be the final chapter or a license to sink into dark despair. God has given us a direct and unequivocal promise: if His people call upon Him in the day of trouble, He will deliver them. To deliver means to rescue and to set free. Sadly, many Christians long for miraculous intervention while their lips stubbornly refuse to cry out to God. In times of crisis, we often rush to secure bank loans, tap into personal connections, or lean entirely on human strategies, leaving God to watch us struggle and exhaust ourselves through our own futile efforts.
Never just complain and lament your fate when trouble strikes. Learn to offer thanksgiving while lifting both hands to cry out to Him. Your problems will never outweigh the power of God's grace. Make Him your sole Helper.
God bless you!
