SEEK THE SOURCE, NOT JUST THE SUPPLY
Rain serves as a striking metaphor for how God pours out His blessings upon the earth. When water touches dry soil, new life immediately breaks forth. In our spiritual journey, God's blessings often manifest as long-term provisions like breath, health, and deep joy, or as short-term gifts such as career advancement, business profits, or strong academic grades.
Yet, a fatal flaw frequently infects our faith. Many of us treat God as a cosmic vending machine of blessings. Our focus remains fixed on moving from one provision to the next, entirely bypassing any genuine pursuit of the Giver Himself. When we chase blessings merely to feed personal ambitions, we inevitably grow bitter and walk away from God the moment those expected provisions face delays or vanish.
Scripture reminds us in Matthew 6:33 to seek first His kingdom and righteousness, promising that every necessary thing will be added. When we shift our focus from blindly hunting down survival to pursuing the very presence and approval of our Heavenly Father, everything else falls into its proper place as a bonus rather than an idol. If our stability rests on material success, economic downturns will shatter us. But when our lives anchor securely in the unchanging Source, His steady provision remains rock-solid through any crisis.
Every single human endeavorโwhether launching a business enterprise, pursuing education, or building a householdโmust begin squarely within God's domain. Invite His presence today, and let Him guide your steps toward a truly meaningful and anchored life.
