STRENGTH BEHIND WEAKNESS

Secular culture trains us to constantly conceal every form of weakness. We are pressured to wear a mask of perfection, appear strong, and look successful, especially on social media stages. We are haunted by the fear that if others discover how fragile we truly are on the inside, we will be pushed away and abandoned.

However, the paradigm of the Kingdom of God stands in stark contrast to the world. In God, precisely at the lowest point where we feel most weak and helpless, His power works most perfectly. The Apostle Paul once pleaded three times for the Lord to remove the 'thorn in the flesh'—his agonizing affliction. Yet, the Lord refused to remove it, affirming instead that His grace was more than sufficient. God never looks for people who fancy themselves as 'superheroes'. He looks for those who recognize that they are merely fragile clay jars, utterly dependent on the Potter.

The Divine Paradox of Strength tells us that when we feel incapable, that is precisely when God steps in to enable us. When we feel bankrupt in wisdom, that is when God bestows His insight. Therefore, never feel inferior about physical shortcomings, intellectual limitations, or a dark past. Hand all those weaknesses completely over into His hands.

Let the world see that even though you are full of limitations, you are sustained by an unlimited God. It is precisely through our weaknesses that the greatness and glory of God's name can shine the brightest. -TPC
