PEACE IN THE MIDST OF THE STORM
The eagle possesses a uniquely fascinating instinct. When a violent storm approaches, it does not fly low or cower in fear looking for a hiding place. Instead, the eagle spreads its wings proudly and uses the force of the storm winds to lift it higher, soaring above the rolling dark clouds until it finds clear skies on the other side. In this life, we are often struck by unexpected 'storms'โwhether financial crises, marital distress, or sudden health shocks. Our default human reaction is usually panic, anxiety, and finger-pointing at our circumstances. Yet, Jesus teaches us to hold the quiet composure of faith. Do you remember the disciples screaming in terror inside the boat during the gale, while Jesus slept peacefully? True peace is not the absence of trouble, but the deep tranquility of the soul anchored in the complete realization of who holds the helm of our life's 'boat'. Focus on Christ, not on the waves. The longer we stare at the sheer size of our problems, the stronger our paralyzing fear grows. However, the more we fix our eyes on Jesus, the deeper our faith takes root. Lean fully onto the promise of Immanuel; when He pledges His presence, He never steps away, not even at the absolute epicenter of the most terrifying squall. Never let the storm rob you of your God-given well-being. Let the 'wind' of your trials serve as the lifting force that drives your faith to soar higher and draw closer to God. Earthly tempests will pass, but His steadfast love endures forever.
