DO NOT BECOME A DEAD SEA
In the land of Israel, there are two large lakes that receive water from the exact same source, the Jordan River. Despite sharing the same headwaters, these two bodies of water possess completely opposite ecosystems. The first is the Sea of Galilee. Its water is crystal clear and refreshing, fish thrive abundantly, and the surrounding land is lush and green. The second is the Dead Sea. In these waters, not a single living creature can survive; the water is intensely salty, dense, and toxic to life. What causes this drastic difference? The secret lies in water circulation. The Sea of Galilee receives water from the Jordan River and flows it back out to irrigate other places. Conversely, the Dead Sea only traps incoming water for its own use and has no outlet. Water that stops flowing inevitably rots. This natural principle applies absolutely to our spiritual life. If we only listen to the Word and receive spiritual blessings solely for our own comfort, our spirituality will become rigid, selfish, and dead. Our spiritual life will only remain fresh and growing if we are willing to pour back that love, forgiveness, and blessing to those around us. God blesses us so that we may be a blessing to the nations. Do not make your spirituality like the 'Dead Sea'. Channel the goodness you have received to your neighbors, coworkers, and family. Keep giving, and your life will radiate the freshness that comes from God!
