BEWARE OF 'SPIRITUAL POISON' ON SOCIAL MEDIA
In today's digital era, we are served thousands of spiritual contents every single day through various social media platforms. Our gadget screens are filled with one-minute sermons, emotionally charged verse quotes, and sensational testimonies. However, a critical question must be asked: Are all these digital inputs truly healthy for our spiritual growth?
Many Christians swallow rawly whatever they watch simply because the speaker quotes a Bible verse, cries tears, or preaches with fiery passion. Yet, we must remember that even the devil was fluent in quoting God's word when he tempted Jesus in the wilderness. Teaching stripped of its original context is extremely dangerous. Not a few households have been destroyed because they wrongly adopted the teaching of 'freedom' from dubious sources, and many believers end up harboring bitterness and hating their local church due to the provocation of divisive content.
Sift strictly everything you watch. If a viewing makes you drift further from your fellowship community, become more easily angered, or feel more holy than others, turn it off immediately. Do not let 'poison' sneak in through your eyes and ears. -TPC
