LOWERING THE EGO IN RELATIONSHIPS
In any shared relationship—whether with a spouse, family member, or ministry partner—arguments often hit a dead end because of our sheer selfishness. We constantly demand that the other person understand our feelings or validate our position first before we are willing to extend kindness. This game of waiting for the other to move only builds thicker walls of separation between us.
Today\'s Reflection Points:
- Stopping the Cycle of Demands: Peace in a household or community will never materialize if both sides hold onto their arrogance and refuse to yield.
- The Courage to Take the First Step: Lowering your ego, apologizing, or showing affection without waiting for repayment is evidence of spiritual maturity capable of restoring any broken dynamic.
Let us make a conscious decision today to be the party who takes the initiative in extending goodness. Strip away pride and the compulsion to win every argument. Remember that God first forgave and humbled Himself in order to restore His relationship with us.
God bless you!
