THE POWER OF PRAYER

THE POWER OF PRAYER

Throughout life's journey, many people unconsciously treat prayer like a vehicle's 'spare tire'—something pulled out and used only during emergencies. When the wheels of life roll smoothly, prayer is forgotten. Yet, when every road feels blocked and crisis strikes, we suddenly rush to seek God. Ironically, God's design for believers is to make prayer the 'steering wheel' that guides and determines our daily steps.

Prayer is not a mechanism or control tool to force God into granting our wish list. Instead, prayer is God's way of softening and aligning our hearts with His perfect will. Through prayer, we lay down our burdens of exhaustion at the foot of the cross, and in return, we receive a fresh stream of strength from heaven. Remember the story of the prophet Elijah; he was a human being with a nature just like ours, yet when he prayed earnestly, the sky closed and opened. The real issue is never about who is praying, but rather to Whom we direct our prayers.

Today's Reflection Point:
- The Primary Function of Prayer: Do not reduce prayer to a mere list of requests (a monologue). Make prayer a space of fellowship where you also remain silent to listen to His direction.
- The Breath of Spiritual Life: Do not underestimate the short prayers you offer before work or when making decisions. Without consistent prayer, our spirits will experience shortness of breath and slowly wither.

Let us improve the quality of our fellowship with the Father. Make prayer an absolute, indispensable necessity tied to the very pulse of your life, not merely a hollow religious obligation. -TPC

God bless you!
