DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT TOMORROW

Passage: 'So do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.' – Matthew 6:34

DO NOT BE ANXIOUS ABOUT TOMORROW

Anxiety is often compared to a rocking chair. It keeps you moving, but in reality, it gets you nowhere. Worry simply drains your energy and mind without ever offering a single solution to the problem you are facing.

It is truly unfortunate that many of us spend today's blessings and time just to fret over the mysteries of tomorrow. We torment ourselves with a barrage of negative questions: 'What if my money is not enough next month?' 'What if my illness gets worse?' or 'What if my company lays me off?' Yet, the Lord Jesus clearly reminded us that worry cannot add a single hour to a person's life. Anxiety is a master thief of joy. If the birds of the air and the wildflowers of the field are cared for so beautifully, how much more will He care for us, His children who have been redeemed by a precious blood.

Scripture Reference:
'So do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.' – Matthew 6:34

Today's Reflection Points:
- Receiving Daily Grace: God never gives a 'bulk grace ticket' for tomorrow on today. Just like the manna in the wilderness that fell every morning, God's grace and strength are always provided sufficiently for day by day.
- Trading Anxiety for Faith: When anxious thoughts begin to knock on the door of your heart, do not let fear answer it. Let faith open that door.

Let us replace every suffocating anxiety with a prayer of surrender. When you let faith work, you will realize that there is nothing to fear, because there is only the hand of the Father ready to sustain you perfectly. -TPC

God bless you!
