MOSES: HUMAN INADEQUACY VS GOD'S SOVEREIGN CAPABILITY
Many of us often feel inadequate, unqualified, or insecure when God calls us to take on responsibilities in ministry, whether within the family, the workplace, or the church. Moses also experienced a massive crisis of self-confidence before the burning bush. Moses' question 'Who am I?' uses the Hebrew phrase ืึดื ืึธื ึนืึดื (Mi anoki), which reflects his past trauma as a fugitive and his colossal failure forty years prior in Egypt. Interestingly, God did not answer that question by praising Moses' hidden talents. Instead, God answered: ืึดึผืึพืึถืึฐืึถื ืขึดืึธึผืึฐ (Ki-ehyeh immak), meaning 'Surely I will be with you.' Exegetically, the focus shifts away from Moses' weak identity to the eternal identity of God, namely ืึถืึฐืึถื ืึฒืฉึถืืจ ืึถืึฐืึถื (Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh / 'I AM WHO I ARE'). The power of ministry never depends on the qualifications of the one sent, but on the Person who sends. When God entrusts you with a task, stop staring at your own shortcomings and fix your gaze on the overwhelming power of His presence. God does not look for people who think they are already capable; He looks for those willing to be shaped and fully surrendered to His power. Walk into today with a renewed conviction, refusing to let past failures or lingering insecurities dictate what God can accomplish through your life.
